CSS women’s basketball’s Lind, Carlson take home MIAC weekly awards
The Saint. Scholastica women’s basketball team had two players bring home some hardware on Monday.
On the defensive end, Proctor native Hope Carlson took home the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week award, after logging seven steals and ten rebounds in the Saints two wins this past week. Five of those steals came in one game against Northland college, and against UWS on Saturday, she also scored 10 points off the bench.
Shifting to offense, Kloey Lind took home the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week award, after averaging over 19 points and seven rebounds in the Saints wins. Her better performance of the two games; 24 points on 9/12 shooting, plus 11 rebounds, accounting for her second double-double of the season.
CSS has won three straight games and looks to make it four against Bethel University on January 3rd.
