CSS women’s hockey stages comeback, wins in OT
A hat trick from Abby Pohlkamp was exactly what the College of Saint Scholastica women’s hockey team needed, as they claimed a 4-3 overtime victory against Concordia.
The Saints struggled in the first period, with very little going on offense and a goal allowed on defense.
In the second, Pohlkamp scored her first of three to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Less than a minute into the third period, it was Pohlkamp finding twine for a second time, and knotting the game at 2-2.
It was then Saint’s Hanley Block who scored, giving the Saints the first lead of the game. That lead would disappear however, and the two teams would need overtime to duel it out.
Pohlkamp net her third and final goal of the night, giving the Saints the win.
They’ll look for the weekend sweep Saturday at 2 p.m.
