After winning their first games of the season last weekend, the College of Saint Scholastica women’s hockey team was stifled against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday afternoon, losing 4-1.

UWEC scored twice in the last seven minutes of the first period, putting the Saints in a hole going into the first intermission.

UWEC then scored once in the second period and once in the third, increasing their lead to 4-0.

Eventually, the Saints would get on the board, as Abby Pohlkamp scored with just 55 seconds left in the game.

CSS is back in action on Saturday against UW-River Falls at 2 p.m.
