CSS women’s hoops blow past Carleton, Saints men fall
In a doubleheader against Carleton College Wednesday night in Duluth, the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) women’s basketball team would pull out a win, while the CSS men fell to the Knights.
The CSS women rolled to a 72-46 victory. They outshot the Knights 34-19 in the first half, and 38-27 in the second half. The Saints’ Kloey Lind led the game with 18 points, while Madison Kenyon added 17 points and Ava Haus had 14 points.
CSS (10-8) next visits Macalester College Saturday, February 1 in St. Paul for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
The CSS men fell to Carleton 85-67 Wednesday. They trailed just 45-37 at halftime, but the Knights maintained their lead outshooting CSS 40-30 in the second. Tanner Thomson led the Saints with 15 points.
The Saints (7-12) also visit Macalester on Saturday with a 3 p.m. tipoff.
