Denfeld Boy’s soccer was victorious over Hibbing 1-0 in an intense Saturday afternoon game.
Both teams looked comfortable on the offensive side of the ball, as each team was able to get quality shots on goal and put pressure on the opposing goaltenders.
The game was tied at the half after an abundance of missed chances, but going into the second half, things changed.
Matt Eklund’s penalty kick in the 67th minute was the only score of the game, proving it to be crucial in the Hunters win.
Denfeld will face Duluth East on Thursday while Hibbing takes on Southwest Christian on Monday,
