On the pitch last season the Duluth Denfeld Hunters girl’s soccer team finished with a record of 10-8, their first winning season since 2014.
Leading that charge was senior Alyssa Doyle, who led all of Northern Minnesota in goals with 19 and 32 points.
“This team that we have is really special this year. So I’m just trying to just soak up every moment we have with them and just make the most of every game, every practice,” said Doyle.
“I feel like over the last couple of seasons, we’ve improved in the off season from from year to year. So I’m hoping that that happens again this year. The girls worked really hard in the weight room during the off season, and they’ve been really excited to get out on the field. I think they’re ready to go and they want to have success,” added head coach Leah Hamm.
Hamm is entering her third year with Denfeld, as the Hunters begin their season this Thursday hosting Zimmerman at 4:00 p.m.
