Drew Blair named a Top 50 finalist for the Bevo Francis Award
In mid-January University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s basketball’s Drew Blair was named to the Bevo Francis Award watch list. Now he’s made it through the first round of cuts, Thursday being named a Top 50 finalist.
The award goes to the player with the strongest season in Small College Basketball, taking into account statistics, team success, and personal character.
Blair, a fifth year senior guard, is now the Bulldogs’ all-time leading scorer currently sitting with 2,558 career points. So far this season he’s averaging over 21 points per game.
The Top 25 will be announced on March 15. An announcement date for the overall winner is still to be determined. For UMD’s full release, Click Here.
