Duluth East baseball earns first win in crosstown duel with Duluth Denfeld
The Duluth East baseball team picked up their first win of the season Monday defeating Duluth Denfeld 8-4 in eight innings at Wade Stadium.
The Hunters struck first in the second, with Chase Palmioto driving in John Scott. The Greyhounds responded in the third, as Marccus Antilla scored Jackson Spoden. Then Taelem Berry brought in Kyler Sundeen taking a 2-1 Duluth East lead. This gave the Greyhounds the momentum they needed for victory.
Duluth East (1-4) turns right around to visit Superior Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Denfeld (0-3) will next visit Hermantown Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
