Duluth East boys tennis finishes as Section 7AA runners-up

Tuesday in Chisago Lakes the Duluth East boys tennis team fell one point short of their seventh straight Section 7AA title dropping 4-3 to Elk River in the 7AA championship game.
Duluth East got wins from Dane Patten (No. 1 singles), Ben Heffernan (No. 4 singles), and Andre Good/Ewen Moe (No. 2 doubles).
This came after their 5-2 semifinal victory over Cambridge-Isanti. East got victories at No. 1 singles with Dane Patten winning 6-2, 6-1. Ryan Delaney also won at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 victory as well as Ewen Moe at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-1. East also got wins at No. 1 doubles with the duo of Andre Good and Karl Kimber winning 6-4, 6-3 and No. 2 doubles with Colin McShane and Ben Heffernan 6-0, 6-4.
The Greyhounds will still be represented at the Individuals State tournament by singles Section champion Dane Patten, and doubles Section runners-up Ryan Delaney and Karl Kimber.
