On Thursday both the Duluth East boys and girls basketball teams defeated Duluth Denfeld on the road.

The Duluth East boys narrowly defeated Denfeld 60-59. The Greyhounds improve to 5-8 and next host Eagan Saturday. Denfeld (8-7) next hosts Hermantown Tuesday.

The Duluth East girls shot past Denfeld 70-12. Candice Dome led the Greyhounds with 18 points, while Victoria Nylund led the Hunters with four. Duluth East improves to 7-10 and next hosts Grand Rapids on Monday. Denfeld (2-14) hosts Rock Ridge on Monday.
