On Tuesday Duluth East girls tennis spoiled Duluth Denfeld’s home opener earning the 5-2 win at Laura MacArthur Elementary School.

Denfeld came out strong in singles play, with Maria Oppelt and Anissa MacMillian winning the number one and two singles matches. However Duluth East’s Mae McCall and Adrienne Erickson responded winning the number three and four matches.

The Greyhounds would sweep doubles play with Harriet Hill and Cadence Fischer on the number one team, Addy Wheeler and Alexa Gunderson on the number two team, and Romie Gange and Neila Johnson on the number three team.
