Duluth East swims past Denfeld in crosstown dual

On Tuesday the Duluth East girls swim team hosted Duluth Denfeld at Ordean-East Middle School for a dual meet.
The first varsity event was the 200 yard medley relay where Duluth East’s Kate Schiller, Maddie Yapel, Anikka Hansen, and Anna Schiller took first place with an unofficial time of 2:14.0.
The Greyhounds also took first place in the 200 yard freestyle with Kaia Pessenda touching the wall first.
The 50 yard freestyle was a tight race. Duluth East’s Jenaya Jordan finished first just two strokes ahead of Denfeld’s Kayla Franke with unofficial times of 28.91 for Jordan and 30.34 for Franke.
