Duluth FC falls short against Forward Madison FC in U.S. Open Cup

On Thursday evening in Madison Wisconsin, Duluth FC fell 5-1 to Forward Madison FC in the first round of the 2025 Lamar Hunter U.S. Open Cup.

The Madison Flamingos would score first almost 40 minutes into play. The Duluth BlueGreens would strike back and tie things up 63 minutes into play with a goal from Mario Fernandez, but the Flamingos would regain their lead ten minutes later. At the eighty-five-minute mark, Madison would extend their lead to two, and less than ten minutes later they would do it again. The Flamingos would solidify their win 5-1 with another shot at 95 minutes.

Duluth FC will return to the turf in May with regular season play.
