Duluth Huskies’ Compton named Northwoods League All-Star game MVP

He finished second in the home run challenge with 11 on Monday, then Tuesday night the Duluth Huskies own Brandon Compton was named MVP of the Northwoods League All-Star game.
The All-Star game ended in a 3-3 tie between the Great Plains East and West.
Compton, the East’s designated hitter, drilled out a two run double to tie the game at three in the top of the seventh.
Scoing the East’s first run in the sixth inning would be fellow Husky Calyn Halvorson, who also tallied a double in the match.
The Huskies return from the All-Star break Thursday hosting the Eau Claire Express at Wade Stadium at 6:35 p.m.
