Duluth Huskies win on opening day

After staring the season on the road, falling to a record of 0-2, the Duluth Huskies won their first game of the season in Fridays home opener.
The Huskies defeat first year Northwoods League expansion team the Minot Hot Tots by the final of 8-6.
Showcasing to fans in the Northland that Wade Stadium is the place to be this summer.
“Fans want to have some fun at the ballpark. We are going to have four unique Jersey nights. We’re going to have Bark at the Park coming back. We’re going to make it fun,” said team General Manager Greg Culver.
The Huskies trailed 1-0 after the first inning, but Duluth stormed back with eight unanswered runs.
The Huskies are back in action tomorrow against Minot at home, with the first pitch set for 3:05 p.m.
