Duluth Marshall baseball wins 5th straight, Duluth East softball earns road split
On the prep diamond Tuesday the Duluth Marshall baseball team picked up their fifth straight win while Duluth East softball earned a road doubleheader split.
At Wade Stadium Duluth Marshall topped Proctor 6-1 to improve to 8-2 on the season. In their last five games the Hilltoppers have only allowed a total of six runs. They’re back in action Thursday visiting Rock Ridge.
Visiting Bemidji for a doubleheader Duluth East softball earned a victory in game one 2-1 thanks to a top of the seventh game-winning solo home run from Amity Sjerven. However, the Greyhounds then dropped game two 7-1. They’re next scheduled to host Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin Thursday.
