Duluth Marshall picks up a conference shutout over Cloquet-Esko-Carlton
On Thursday the Duluth Marshall girls hockey team earned a Lake Superior Conference victory over Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (CEC) shutting out the Lumberjacks 5-0 at Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet.
The first period ended scoreless. Then Avery Lian opened the scoring in the second, netting two goals. Annie Bachand also scored to make it 3-0 after the second. Isla Lindaman and Nina Thorson scored in the third period to earn the 5-0 victory.
The Hilltoppers improve to 3-1 and next visit Roseville/Mahtomedi on Saturday. CEC (1-2) next hosts Bloomington Jefferson on Saturday.
