Plenty of high school basketball players don’t reach the 1,000 point mark. In fact, it’s an achievement that not many athletes reach in their entire playing careers.

However, on Saturday, Duluth Marshall’s Chloe Johnson reached the 1,000 point milestone as an 8th grader, becoming just the third player in Minnesota girl’s basketball history to ever do so.

The mark was reached on and-one layup by Johnson, as the Duluth Marshall girl’s basketball team was on the road at Minnehaha.

Johnson currently sits at 7th in the state in points per game (27.6) and 8th in total points (414).
