Duluth Marshall’s Johnson puts on a show, MIB’s Zubich scores 46 in Monday night wins
There was some high profile basketball played in the Northland on Monday night, as Duluth Marshall boy’s basketball topped South Ridge 75-50, while the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers topped Esko 82-66.
For Duluth Marshall, the highlight of the game was Brooks Johnson, who threw down multiple dunks with ease within the first 10 minutes of the game.
The Hilltoppers scored more than 70 for the third time in four games this season. They’ll take on Greenway on Thursday.
As for MIB, they handled Esko thanks to Jordan Zubich’s 46 point performance.
The future North Carolina Tar Heel was 8-13 from behind the arc and added six assists and seven rebounds to her stat sheet.
Hali Savela also added 16 points of her own.
MIB next takes on Northome/Kelliher on Friday, and Esko will look bounce back against Pine City on Thursday.
