The Duluth Northern Stars couldn’t contain Breck in their season opener, as they lost 5-2 on Friday night.

The Northern Stars scored the first goal of the game, but weren’t able to stop the offensive onslaught that Breck would bring.

With the third shot on goal of the night, Northern Stars goaltender Ella Brisbois made the 1,000th save of her career.

The Northern Stars are back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Roseville/Mahtomedi.
