Duluth's own C.J. Ham named Vikings captain for 4th time

On Wednesday Duluth native C.J. Ham was named a Minnesota Vikings captain for 2024. This is the fourth consecutive year the Duluth Denfeld alum will serve as a team captain in his NFL career.

Vikings’ head coach Kevin O’Connell appointed Ham, along with seven others, to lead Minnesota in the 2024 season.

Ham will represent special teams players alongside Andrew DePaola. Offensive captains are Sam Darnold, Justin Jefferson, and Brian O’Neill. The defensive captains are Josh Metellus, Harrison Phillips, and Harrison Smith.

The Vikings open their season Sunday, September 8 visiting the New York Giants. Kickoff is set for noon at MetLife Stadium.
