Dziver's hat-trick lifts Minnesota Wilderness to victory over Springfield Jr. Blues

Noah Dziver netted a hat trick helping lead the Minnesota Wilderness to a 5-2 win over the Springfield Jr. Blues Friday night at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet.

Springfield’s Tyler Smith scored the game’s first goal, but the Wilderness responded with Noah Dziver and Brady Zugec goals to led 2-1 after the first period. Springfield’s Jagur McClelland tied it 2-2 early in the second, but Jakeb Lynch took back the 3-2 lead for the Wilderness. In the third it was all Minnesota, with Dziver scoring his last two goals for the hat trick and 5-2 win.

In net for the Wilderness Valdemar Anderson made 31 saves, while Springfield’s Frank Murphy made 37.

The Wilderness entered the night on the bring of making the playoffs. They must sweep this regular season finale series over Springfield, and have the Chippewa Steel lose twice to Anchorage, in order to punch their ticket to the postseason.
