Esko football falls in Class AAA semifinals
Esko football only scored 7 points, a season low, en route to a playoff loss to Annandale.
Esko football has had three straight undefeated regular season’s, but hasn’t translated their success into the state tournament.
Saturday was another example, as Esko lost to Annandale by a score of 14-7 in the Class AAA semifinals.
Esko scored first, as Quarterback Jacion Owens found Sam Haugen deep down the field, and Haugen was able to wrestle the ball away.
The rest of the game belong to Annandale though, as they both held Esko to their lowest point total of the year and scored just 14 points.
All eyes turn to Makoi Perich’s decision day, where he is expected to commit to the University of Minnesota.
