Esko girls soccer secures 1st section title berth since 2012 in come-from-behind win

Fifth seeded Two Harbors would strike first but top-seeded Esko girls soccer came from behind Wednesday to win their Section 7A semifinal 5-1 at home.
Esko will now make their first section championship appearance since 2012 when they were Esko-Carlton.
All five of Esko’s goals came from different players with Kaitlyn McConnell scoring first, and Abrianna Madill tallying three assists. Reese Costley scored the sole goal for Two Harbors.
Esko (14-2-1) will have home field advantage for the section championship on Tuesday. They will host second seeded Spectrum (16-2) with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
