Essentia Health All-Star games bookend prep hockey season

The 2022-23 prep hockey season in the Northland ended on Tuesday with the 24th annual Essentia Health All-Star games.

This season however was the first ever that prep girl’s hockey would be the opening game of the event.

A total of 68 players earned roster spots in the All-Star games.

Proctor/ Hermantown’s Nya Sieger opened the scoring in the girl’s game.

As team Duluth won by the final of 6-1 in the game.

Prep Hockey All-Star games at Heritage Center.

While Grand Rapids’ Bauer Murphy opened the scoring in the boy’s game.

Team Duluth won in the boy’s game as well, beating team Range 7-4.
