Ève Gascon, who made 21 saves on 22 shots for the UMD Women’s Hockey team on Saturday against Minnesota State Mankato, has won the WCHA Rookie of the Week award.

Through her first four career games, Gascon is 2-2-0 with one shutout, and is one of two goaltenders in UMD history to ever have recorded a shutout in her first game.

Gascon and the Bulldogs will head north to Bemidji State for their games on Friday and Saturday.
