A former Edina High School and Wisconsin Badger basketball player passed away on Saturday.

Walt McGrory battled osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, for two years starting in August of 2021. McGrory appeared in 37 games off the bench over four seasons at Wisconsin and was part of the 2019-2020 team that won a share of the Big Ten regular-season title.

He was 24 years old.
