Former Bulldog Brenden Kotyk named Savannah Ghost Pirates assistant coach
Former UMD men’s hockey player Brenden Kotyk will fill the assistant coach position for the Savannah Ghost Pirates, after having spent the previous two seasons as the head coach and director of hockey operations of the South Carolina Stingrays.
As a right-handed defenseman, he appeared in 151 career ECHL games with Greenville and Toledo as well as seven contests with the Hartford Wolfpack of the American Hockey League.
At UMD, Kotyk scored 7 goals with 16 assists for a total of 23 points as a Bulldog. Before UMD, Kotyk spent his freshman year at CSS, where he put up 7 goals and 12 assists in his lone season as a Saint.
