Former Duluth Husky Jaron DeBerry drafted by Milwaukee Brewers

Former Duluth Huskies player Jaron DeBerry has been drafted by the Brewers, selected in the third round and 93rd overall.

DeBerry was with the Huskies back in 2022, and played college baseball at Dallas Baptist University, where there he was highly impressive.

In 90 innings, DeBerry posted a 3.50 earned run average (ERA) and posted a 10 strikeout game in April against Louisiana Tech.

For the Huskies in less of a sample size, DeBerry played in only four games, posting a 1.8 ERA with 22 strikeouts over 20 innings.

It remains to be seen if DeBerry will head back to college for another year or will join the Brewers minor league system.
