Peyton Powell, who spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons in Duluth has signed with the Toronto Blue Jays.
In five seasons at the University of Texas-Austin, Powell hit an impressive .327 with 21 home runs and 94 RBI as a third and first basemen.
Powell’s two years as a Husky were also eye popping, hitting .278 with 38 RBI through 57 games with the Huskies. Powell is now the fourth former Husky to either have signed or been drafted by a major league team this week.
