Grand Rapids boy’s hockey blanks Duluth Denfeld on the road
Grand Rapids boy’s hockey took a trip to Duluth and beat Duluth Denfeld, 3-0, thanks to two second period goals.
In the first period, Nathan Garski connected with just over four minutes left to give the Thunderhawks a 1-0 lead.
In the second period, Kyler Miller was the Hunters Achilles heel, scoring two goals and putting Denfeld of jeopardy of losing.
In the third period, Denfeld couldn’t muster up the offensive firepower to make a dent in the score.
Denfeld looks to bounce back against Duluth Marshall on Thursday while Grand Rapids faces Benilde-St. Margaret’s on Saturday.
