The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team announced the signing of 32 players to their 2023 recruiting class.
Of those incoming freshmen 16 are from Minnesota, 11 are from Wisconsin, three are from Nevada and two are from Illinois.
The list includes four wide receivers, two tight ends, two running backs, and two quarterbacks. Plus 10 defensive backs and linemen, nine offensive linemen, two inside linebackers, and a kicker/punter.
Eleventh year head coach Curt Wiese said fans could get to see these players sooner than usual thanks to new redshirt rules.
“We did just pass the rule in Division II that these guys can now come in and compete in three games this fall and still preserve their redshirt season for us. So having a chance to see these guys on the field next fall for us is something new and exciting and definintely something that we look forward to.”
These Bulldogs will usher UMD into their 90th season.
