Hermantown baseball puts up 18 runs in explosive season opening win over Denfeld
The weather finally cleared up on Wednesday allowing Duluth Denfeld and Hermantown baseball to open their seasons in a battle at Wade Stadium. The match also marked the Hunters’ home opener.
Hermantown would defeat Denfeld 18-3 in six innings.
The Hawks led just 5-3 after the fourth inning, then went on to score 13 runs en route to a 1-0 start to their season.
Hermantown is next scheduled to visit Hibbing Tuesday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m. Denfeld is next set to visit Rock Ridge Friday, April 5 at 4:30 p.m. for their road opener.
