On Thursday night, Hermantown boy’s basketball’s title hopes fell short, as they lost to Chisago Lakes 95-82.

The game was back and forth all first half, with Hermantown facing an early deficit, coming back to take the lead, and then trailing at halftime.

In the second half, Hermantown would struggle offensively while allowing easy points on the defensive end, making for a tough comeback attempt.

After going down 17 though, the Hawks cut it down to seven with just over two minutes left, but couldn’t capitalize on the few offensive chances they had.

The Hawks finish the season 21-8 and as section runners-up.
