Hermantown boys hockey claims first win of season
Hermantown boys hockey took down East Grand Forks 4-0 on Friday night, for the Hawks’ first win of the season.
After a scoreless first period, Hermantown’s Cam Lukovsky scored his first varsity goal in the second period to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
In the third, the Hawks came alive, with three different goal scorers: Cayden Manion, Cole Lendzyk (his first varsity goal as well), and River Freeman all contributed a goal.
Goaltender Bryce Francisco registered a clean sheet, with 27 saves.
The Hawks take on Mahtomedi on Saturday at 7 p.m.
