Benilde-St. Margaret’s proves too much for Hermantown boys hockey

Benilde-St. Margaret's proves too much for Hermantown boys hockey

The Hermantown boys hockey team is in unfamiliar territory, as they fell to Benilde-St. Margaret’s 3-2 on Friday night, registering their third straight loss for the first time in over a decade.

Hermantown would get on the board first thanks to Charlie Marchand, however, the Red Knights would tie the game back up a 1-1, and the score that would remain until Beau Christy scored in the third period to put the Hawks on top, 2-1.

However, two Red Knights goals a minute apart from each other in the final stages of the game would be the deciding factor.

Hermantown ends their regular season schedule with a Tuesday night matchup against Grand Rapids at 7 p.m.
