It’s something the 20-year-old’s older brother Neal (27 y.o.), a Winnipeg Jet, helped him prepare for.
“He gave me a lot of tips here of things to expect and how to treat yourself and how to act and treat your teammates as well,” Aaron said about Neal. “I think kind of those are some of the biggest things he’s always taught me and helped me with.”
Joining Pionk among the 36 players invited to Development Camp were Grand Rapids alum, fellow defenseman, Jack Peart, and University of Minnesota Duluth goalie, Cohasset native, Zach Stejskal.
During the three day on-ice camp players skate daily, learn strength and conditioning, and receive nutrition and leadership training.
It runs through Sunday at Tria Rink in St. Paul and is free and open to the public. For the schedule, Click Here.
