Hermantown’s Francisco, Superior’s Marthaler land on Youth Olympic Games roster

Two northland boys hockey players have received the invite of a lifetime.
Hermantown’s AJ Francisco and Superior’s Jackson Marthaler have been invited to compete for the U.S. Youth Olympic Men’s Hockey Team in the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games
The games will take place from January 19 to February 1 in Gangwon, South Korea.
Francisco and Marthaler, both sophomores, are two of just six defensemen named to the 17 man roster. Francisco is one of six Minnesotans and Marthaler is the sole Wisconsin representative.
USA will battle teams from Canada, Czechia, Finland, Korea and Slovakia. For the tournament hub, Click Here.
