Hermantown’s Plante, Proctor’s Reyelts eligible for 2024 NHL Draft
The 2024 NHL Draft begins Friday, June 28. Per the NHL, 23 draft eligible Minnesotans earned top pre-draft rankings by Central Scouting, and two are Northlanders.
Hermantown native, and University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) commit, Max Plante is ranked 43rd among North American skaters.
Plante departed the Hermantown High School boys hockey team in 2022 for the U.S. National Team Development Program, and most recently earned a silver medal with Team USA in the IIHF U18 Men’s World Championships.
Proctor’s own AJ Reyelts is ranked 28th among North American goaltenders. The Division I Lindenwood University commit joined the NAHL’s Kenai River Brown Bears after closing out his high school career in the Section 7A semifinals this winter.
Round one of the draft starts Friday at 6 p.m. CT. The Minnesota Wild pick 13th.
Rounds two through seven are Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
