Hibbing/Chisholm boys hockey talks win in opening round of State tournament

On Wednesday night, Hibbing/Chisholm boys hockey scored seven goals against Luvurne, shutting them out 7-0 in the first round of the Class A tournament. After the game, the Bluejackets gave their thoughts on the game.
“I thought after the first couple of shifts the nerves were mostly gone. It’s so fun to be here. I think after the first two shifts, everyone was kind of like, ‘all right, we’re playing hockey now,'” said junior forward Ben Galli.
“This whole playoff, we’ve just been a lot more lively. I think everyone’s just coming together,” added senior forward Jace Kampsula.
Luvurne head coach, Tony Sandbulte, also had high praise for the Bluejackets, saying,” Their effort is next to none, you know? They’re just well coached, a talented team, and a deep team at that.”
The Bluejackets will take on East Grand Forks next. With a win, it would be Hibbing/Chisholm’s first championship appearance since 1994. The Bluejackets drop the puck at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
