The Hibbing/Chisholm Bluejackets have been selected as a Hockey Day Minnesota participant.

The Bluejackets will take on Eden Prairie on January 25th in Shakopee.

Teams were announced on Monday at Valleyfair in Shakopee where the outdoor games will be held.

This is Hibbing/Chisholm’s first hockey day appearance since 2013 when the event was held in Grand Rapids, and the first Northland team to participate in Hockey Day Minnesota since Hermantown did in 2023.

Hockey Day Minnesota hasn’t been held up north since 2016 when Duluth held it, with games played outside Bayfront park. The Bluejackets fell to Hermantown in the class 7A championship, 4-0.
