The Huskies won their first matchup against the Bismarck Larks on Sunday night by double digits. The team wanted to stay in that winning column and close out their two-game home series with the Larks, but they had other plans scheduled for the game.
Huskies got the defense started strong as a Jack Herring grounder wasn’t enough to get him past first base as Lucas Kelly tagged him out.
Larks would get on the board first with an infield slider that made way for Jake Simons to score their first run of the game. They went on to tack on several more runs in the fourth inning to hold the Huskies scoreless.
Huskies notched one run in the fourth, fifth, and seventh inning and two in the sixth, but it wasn’t enough as they fell 5-9.
