Kyle Walljasper named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week

UMD Bulldogs quarterback Kyle Walljasper was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week after a six touchdown performance on Saturday.

The redshirt sophomore passed for 120 yards and ran for 110 yards, leading the Bulldogs to a 41-21 victory over the Northern State Wolves.

Walljasper now has back-to-back games with five or more touchdowns.

Last season, Walljasper only threw for ten passing touchdowns, but this season, he has seven passing touchdowns through only two games.

Walljasper and the Bulldogs face Sioux Falls at 2:00 p.m. for Military Appreciation Day.

UMD Quarterback Kyle Walljasper was one of 38 nominees for the Harlon Hill award due to a 39 touchdown season from the Redshirt Sophomore.
