Locker, Mellin win 96th Arrowhead Invitational

The rain held off just long enough Sunday for the championship round of the 96th Men’s Arrowhead Invitational, at the Ridgeview Country Club.

Senior champ Mike Locker won 1-up over defending champion Gary Carlson, and now two-time champion Matt Mellin, won 1-up over Joel Johnson.

It has been a great weekend, I had a lot of tough matches, the Arrowhead is a very tough tournament. I had Shane Johnson up against me this morning another great win I played fantastic, and then against Gary the defending champion. It was a grind I was able to make some big putts, was a little nervous playing never playing in front of that many people before. Sure enough however I finished it up on hole 18,” said Locker.

Next years tournament will be the 97th, held on July 26th through the 30th.
