Max Plante will have the chance to compete for the United States, after it was announced Monday that he was added by USA hockey to the preliminary roster of its 2025 U.S. National Junior team.

Since his return from injury for UMD, Plante has won the NCHC Rookie of the Week award, scored his first collegiate goal, and has four total points.

Players who make the final roster will compete in the 2025 IIHF World Junior championship from December 26th-January 5th in Ottawa.
