MIB girl’s basketball win back-to-back section titles

The No.1 Mountain Iron-Buhl girl’s basketball team was crowned Section 7A Champions, topping No.2 Cromwell-Wright 67-38.
MIB got to the title game by beating South Ridge, while Cromwell-Wright topped Ely.
The top scorer in the game for the Rangers was North Carolina commit Jordan Zubich.
“The way the girls fought and executed. It was just a pleasure to watch them compete like that and hopefully continue to play like that,” said MIB head coach Jeff Buffetta.
“We are a young squad, I’m the only senior but I know that we can do it and we can take it all the way and that’s the goal,” said senior guard Sage Ganyo.

This also marks the Rangers 12th section win in the last 13 seasons, with State play beginning this upcoming Thursday.
