Minnesota Wilderness comes up short against Janesville Jets
On Friday evening, the Minnesota Wilderness took on the Janesville Jets in their first home matchup since February, the Wilderness would fall 5-3 to the Jets.
The Jets would put themselves on the board first with a shot from Nick Messina eight minutes into play. A minute and a half later, it would be Janesville’s Phillippe Lalonde who would net the puck to put the Jets up 2-0.
A little over six minutes into the second period, the Wilderness would find themselves with the chance to put themselves on the board, and it would be Ferry Netusil who would take it. Four minutes later, the Jets would extend their lead once more with a goal from Messina once more. A little over 14 minutes in, the Wilderness made things a one-point game with a goal from Nathan Murray. Two minutes later, the Wilderness would tie things up at threes with a shot from River Freeman.
Halfway through the second period, the Jets would find themselves on the power play, and Luke Brierley would take advantage, putting Janesville in the lead once more. They would extend their lead to 5-3 with just 14 seconds left in play thanks to Rylan Brady.
