MN Wilderness rebound to take down Jets

On Friday, the Minnesota Wilderness took down the Janesville Jets 5-3, rebounding from a tough 2-1 loss on Thursday.

The Jets would start the scoring off just two minutes into the first period with a goal from Joseph Hyten while down a player on the penalty. It wouldn’t be until the second period when the Wilderness would respond with a goal from Ben Roulette. The Jets would put themselves back on top with a shot from Hans Hedlund. Things would return to a tie game after a shot from Wilderness’ Lucas Jednek finds its target.

The Wilderness would take their first lead of the game early in the third period thanks to a goal by Avery Anderson. They would extend their lead with another goal – this time by Karson Young. The Jets would rally to find another goal thanks to Murray Marvin-Cordes, but Janesville would still trail 4-3.

Right when many thought the game was over, Roulette tallies another goal on the night with an empty netter to officially end the game. The Wilderness come out on top 5-3.

The Wilderness will return to battle the Springfield Jr. Blues on Friday, April 11th and Saturday, April 12th at 7:15PM. Click here to view their full season schedule.
