No. 10 North Shore girls hockey skate No. 5 Proctor/Hermantown to a stalemate

On Thursday evening, both No. 10 North Shore Storm girl’s hockey and No. 5 Proctor/Hermantown Mirage would come out of their matchup at Mars Lakeview Arena in a tie 3-3.

The Storm would see scores from Nina Thorson, a former Duluth Marshall Hilltopper, and Berkley Hoff, who would net two. The Mirage would net first by Mya Gunderson, then Cambriia Thomas, and finally Grace Nikols. All six goals of the game would be scored in the third period.

This also marked a homecoming for some of the Storm, which is comprised of skaters from Two Harbors, Silver Bay, and now Duluth Marshall. The Hilltoppers, who call Mars home, couldn’t field their own team this year, so North Shore welcomed them to their ranks. The Storm typically play home games between Two Harbors and Silver Bay.
