No. 24 UMD volleyball can’t serve up revenge over No. 5 St. Cloud State

The No. 24 University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) volleyball team would fall short of exacting revenge over No. 5 St. Cloud State University (15-2) on Thursday. On October 1 the Huskies shut out UMD 3-0 in St. Cloud, and they would again beat the Bulldogs 3-0 October 17 at Duluth’s Romano Gym.
The Huskies took set one 25-17, set two 25-14, and set three 25-15.
Samantha Paulsen and Madeline Guetzkow led UMD in kills with six each, Kaylyn Madison and Cianna Selbitschka led in digs with seven apiece, and Maddi Kealy led in assists with 14.
UMD now sits 9-8 overall and 2-7 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play. They next visit the University of Minnesota Crookston Saturday, October 19 at 2 p.m.
